Down to earth, rising soulful and jackin house producer, DJ and labelowner Soul de Marin is having a fantastic year. He started this year with loads of releases and performances national and international. Soul de Marin is having his best year so far, with projects for Andy Ward, Conan Liquid, Sounddiggers and for labels such as Guesthouse Music, Adaptation Music, Gotta Keep Faith, DigiFunk Records, Phobic Recordings, GreenHouse Recordings, Lingo Recordings and Juiced Music.

Last year Soul de Marin became famous with his typical sound that people call his trademark. The soulful, funky, jackin and very sexy sounds promise great time on the dancefloor. His latest remix for Andy Ward reached high on the Traxsource Top 100 and several known dj’s ranked his remix in their monthly top 10 like: DeepCitySoul, Shane D, Brazilian Soul Crew and Andy Ward himself.

Born on 17th februar 1981 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Having inspiration of his mother playing the piano, listening to jazz music and feeling the old school hiphop artists telling their story, Soul de Marin created his trademark and inspiration of making music.

“I really love jazz and old school hiphop. I always use these vibes in my music. To make it more danceable I created my sound.”

Starting Djing in 1996, Soul de Marin performed in almost all big clubs in the Netherlands like Escape Venue, Nighttown, RoXy, Thalia Lounge, La Xala and in foreign city’s like St. Petersburg, Kiev, London, Paris, Antwerp, Barcelona, Sarajevo and Split.

He performed several times at Beach Pop a festival with over 15000 visitors and he won the SL1999 mixing championship. He shared the booth with (mister House Music himself) Eddie de Clerq, Marshall Jefferson, Joost van Bellen, Fatboy Slim, Joey Youngman, Milk and Sugar, Kidd Massive, Baggi Begovic, Silicone Soul, 100% Isis, Rene Amesz, Jean, Melvin Reese and Michel de Hey.

His reputation as a great skilled producer is growing and growing. His latest EP on Sampled (USA) reached the top 100 with 2 tracks. The track ‘Cool it Down’ gets massive playtime by Mark Farina, Frankie J and Dj Heather. The upcoming EP on Adaptation Music (UK) already gets support by Grant Nelson and Mark Knight.

After having founded his own record label “Sniff your Ears Recordings”, he started this summer with a remix for Andy Ward. After some remixwork for Quell, Groove Federation and a single on Funk Mansion. New EP’s are coming up. One on Phobic Recordings and Lingo Records.
